Humor was not an easy occupation in 1951. During the dominant Peronist era, Medrano found a way to position himself neither for or against the icons of the time. By creating Contreras, a character allergic to any 'justicialist' expression, his audience was able to identify with either side, according to their beliefs, and laugh at his tantrums before Peron's speeches or Evita's book La razón de mi vida.
